Uncle Big Bad realizes the importance of conservation, research and education, and the impact they have on our future and the future of our planet. That is why we have chosen to support the Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium, and we hope you will join us in this venture.
The Mote Marine Laboratory is a nonprofit organization and began in a backyard shed in a small Florida town in 1955. It has since grown to include seven research centers and a large aquarium where the scientists rescue, rehabilitate, and then release marine wildlife (the critters who are deemed 'releasable') -- including the endangered sea turtle and loggerhead turtle. The research performed at Mote Marine Labortory not only helps find ways to improve and sustain marine life, but it also searches for ways to improve and maintain our water systems and global marine ecology.
In order to help out this fantastic and important organization, Uncle Big Bad's World of Whatever would like to introduce our new Sea Turtle Necklaces.
For every Sea Turtle Necklace sold, Uncle Big Bad's World of Whatever will donate $1.00 to the Mote Marine Laboratory! Here is your chance to adopt an adorable Sea Turtle and help out a worthy cause at the same time!
And, an additional bonus ... Each handcrafted Sea Turtle comes in his own 100% recycled box! The boxes are very sturdy and are handmade out of cardboard twelve-pack boxes, complete with a twine handle. They are perfect to keep your Sea Turtle in, or decorate and re-use as a gift box, a trinket box, or whatever you like.
Sea Turtle Necklace
These adorable necklaces are handmade out of polymer clay on wire, then painted and glazed. They feature sparkly amber glass beads for eyes and are strung on brown satin rattail cord with some ocean-colored glass beads. Each one is an individual, with a personality all his own! --And, the best part is that you can feel good knowing you have done your part to help keep these creatures and others around for generations to come! With each Sea Turtle Necklace purchase, we will donate $1.00 to the Mote Marine Laboratory!
